We will bring you information and updates on the campaign as we come closer to the Primary and the General election. So far, Lanakila ha won the top spot on the Ballot for the Primary!

LETS REALLY SUPPORT LANAKILA BY SPREADING THE WORD AND GETTING OUT THE PRIMARY VOTE. HIS PRIMARY WIN WILL SECURE HIS CHANCE AT WINNING IN THE GENERAL ELECTION. WE NEED YOUR VOTE!
WHY AM I RUNNING?
My reason for running is very simple. My love for the people of Yelm, and to be a part of a process that is creating Growth and Development to a City that will become the brightest city in all of Washington State. With the current issues and more issues to come as we move forward, I want to be a voice of the people of Yelm. Uniting with my colleagues in Council will give me the opportunity to help shape and mode a brighter future for the City of Yelm.
Addressing the homeless situation, drug abuse and projects for our youth is some of the key issues I want to look into. Bringing more Employment opportunities to the community, keeping our water rights protected and having more joyful fun filled family gatherings are issues that I would love to look into and discuss with council. There is a growing issue which concerns me and my future constituents.
A COMMUNITY HOSPITAL! It is so very much needed in Yelm. We are a growing city and after talking with residents, we all agree that with a Community Hospital, it would create a central point for medical care for our residents and neighboring communities especially in cases of medical emergencies. Job creation would be a plus which is also a need in Yelm. Currently if someone is in need of emergency medical attention, ambulance service, when available, have to take our folks to Olympia for care which can be a half hour or more away. We need to change this NOW!
My other concern is a Cell Tower for the residents living far out like in Baldhills. With no phone service available, that continues to pose a dangerous issue for someone who maybe in need of immediate help!
This all comes from general talk that I've had with folks around town. Now I have the chance to bring these conversations to the table where it can be heard and perhaps voted on. I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity to support my City, Yelm Washington in such a way. And to work with a staff of folks who share the same vision, a vision of Growth and Development and the happiness of the people of the Great city of Yelm. Together we will create a light that can be seen and felt from miles afar.
